BACKGROUND RESEARCH
The End of COVID-19 pandemic
Nearly 40% millennials of Aussie millennials used meal delivery platforms
Australia Food Delivery Market
The online food delivery Market Size will be valued at $883.6 billion by 2023
Key Insights
Manual delivery makes it more difficult for food delivery companies to control service quality, and there are many security risks. The safety of delivery personnel has always been one of the biggest hidden dangers in the food delivery industry. Food delivery companies are willing to let vulnerable drivers die and are resisting safety regulations to maintain profits.
Workers in the food delivery industry are at risk of injury or illness while on the job, they face the challenges of working outdoors (in all types of weather and conditions), driving on the road, and interacting with the public, and the risks vary depending on the type of transport they use.
Competitor analysis
We analyzed popular food delivery platforms like UberEats, Hungry Panda, DoorDash, and Menulog to understand their strengths and weaknesses. This helped us identify areas for improvement and innovation in our design.
User Research
We conducted extensive user research, including online ethnography, user profile and JobToBeDone, to identify user needs and pain points in the current food delivery systems
3 Key Insights
User-Friendly Interface: Customers expect an easy-to-use, intuitive interface.
Real-Time Tracking:
Users desire real-time updates on their order status and delivery progress.
Reliable Delivery:
Ensuring timely and safe delivery is crucial for user satisfaction.

“To give users confidence in the ability of Sonimod's robots to deliver food, we developed an platform that containsthe pre- delivery, tracking and post- delivery phases of the order.”
Visual Identity
Colors and Fonts
we chose orange colour as the main colour, it reflects the main colour of the pizza and represents our brand. The green represents fresh ingredients, and at the same time brightens up the page.

Icons and Buttons

Final prototype
Taking advantage of larger web-based displays, I've enhanced Sonimod's homepage with features showcasing our robot delivery service and popular pizzas, aiming to immediately engage users. It also includes sections for promotional activities, a news subscription feature, and the provision to download our app on various platforms, offering a succinct and effective overview of our services.

Reflection
Situation
Our group aimed to create a high-fidelity prototype for a robot pizza delivery system, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
Task
My responsibility was to design the desktop interface, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Action
I conducted extensive research on user needs, iterated on wireframes, and incorporated feedback from client meetings and peer reviews. Key adjustments included integrating sign-in functionality, enhancing the delivery feature by identifying nearby restaurants first, and adding recommended dishes and promotional activities. Throughout the iterations, I maintained a focus on visual consistency, usability, and accessibility.
Result
The final prototype showcased a dynamic homepage with engaging features, streamlined order and refund processes, and a personalized user dashboard. My contributions significantly enhanced the desktop interface's functionality and user satisfaction, aligning with our goal to revolutionize food delivery through innovative design. This project not only honed my design skills but also underscored the importance of user-centric design and iterative development.
